My 05 TDV6 HSE has been towing recently, it now emits a huge volume (or puff and then plume) of thick black 'smoke' when under heavy acceleration. Driving her fairly conservatively and all appears fine, no smoke and everything's fine, possibly less power but then unless you accelerate you don't feel that.

It could be hose/intercooler issue.

How did you get on with this? Did you have an Engine System Fault come up when this happened? 2009 3.6 TDV8 HST |
