No from me aswell. Some ones just got one near me and the badges are actually painted black,it looks awful, its all colour coded(of which I'm also not a fan of)I like the plastic it breaks the lines up.But it just looks as thought they couldnt be bothered to take the badges off and painted the lot.

Why would you do that?

I have a TDV8 but let's keep our feet on the ground..its better than the old TDV6 but its not an engineering masterclass.

TBH,

The main reason for this is I'm never happy with the finish of the tailgate after I've cleaned and polished the car...

The paintwork immediatly surrounding the lettering always looks slightly dull and never as crisp as the rest of the paintwork.... so I thought no lettring, better paint finish and thus tidier "look" RRS gone

I agree with the paint finish thing.

I think best solution is to purchase new badges and remove the old.

work the now exposed area with Portercable/orbital obtaining total correction and use your LSP.

Then re attach the sparkly new badges on sparkly corrected/treated paintwork.
