SC engine cutout - mangment indicates no fuel pressure

Hi all - new to this forum,

My 2005 SC RRS cutout yesterday - the rac diagnostic indicated low fuel pressure, i'm off to check some fuses and relays - possible pump

I'll let you know how i get on - kepp you updated.

( both my keys have stopped working - any ideas?)

If it starts and then cuts out I'd put my money on needing a new battery...had the same issue with my wife's 2005 s/c all better now BMW 530D 2011 still here

battery is new and fuses ok...
Rac man reckoned there was two pumps on this car?....any help would be much appreciated - i would hate to fit a pump and it not to work.

try changing fuel filter sometimes causes fault to ping up saying low fuel pressure

Mine needed a software update this solved the issue of cutting out. I said I wouldnt buy another one !

fixed it!

Hi guys,

Bobby sent me an excellent email with alot of useful advice. Thanks bobby!

In the end i put a feed to the fuel pump in the fuel tank and it would not turn.

New fuel pump & seal kit ordered for £305, and fitting was a slight pain ( fitting blind with hand in tank ) but fired up first time once all in! Happy days apart from the £305!
