England

After a week of emails and text advising me dealer principal will ring tomorrow to sort my ongoing 7th week of hell - I am still waiting for a call Evil or Very Mad

Dealers website has now changed from Stratstone to Hatfields as I expected Rolling Eyes

Still no response from Nick@landrover (allegedly LRCS) and my allocated LRCS representative has gone on holiday for 2 weeks Thud

Please can someone remind me why I bought JLR for the last 12 years and what is the point of supporting british manufacturing when you get Censored service and products Confused

Its not just me though http://landroverhell.com/ Shocked

I'd be very tempted to ditch the brand and move on muddy, i can understand your frustration and maybe the new owners will sort you out eventually once they have got themselves sorted with the new take over Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

Sorry to hear of your woes, however not wishing to stress you further, but my dealings with Hatfields when I owned an XF-S were utter garbage. They even went to far as to ignore my request not to take any further action on my car (that I had disputed paint issues on) and went ahead and resprayed it again even though it was going for "inspection".

Ended up in solicitors letters - which were copied to JLR. Both parties completely ignored the issue, and denied any fault persisted. Ended up trading it in against this RRS, and this will now probably be the last JLR car I buy. If the quality was there, then they could be great, and when the quality is there (touch wood not too many issues with this car), they are brilliant.

The customer service from Hatfields was pathetic, only surpassed by JLR's own disinterest in the issue. They could not have cared less. The manufacturer didn't want to know about the faulty paint on my car and constantly told me to take it up with the dealer.

I hope you get your issues sorted, but sadly if my experience of Hatfields is anything to judge by, you will have more luck taking a p*ss in the queens handbag. Crying or Very sad RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

That's because you buy from the dealer, not the maufacturer. If you buy a pair of shoes and they're faulty, you take them back to the shop whence they came not the factory they were made in. If you buy some food from a supermarket and it's rancid when you get it home then you take it back to the supermarket, not the producer.

You don't have a contract with JLR, you have it with the supplying dealer. It's the dealer who has to chase JLR and if you get a poor dealer then you're, um, screwed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I must say its unfortunate what has happened with this situation and I can sympathise with you, however after 9 pages of information on this thread, I find it is now getting a bit boring, draw a line under it and move on, Buy another manufacturers vehicle if you are that disillusioned, and forget the Land Rover brand.
I am very happy with my second new RRS, after all it's only a piece of metal on wheels!!

I had a similar experience to Chesterfield with Hatfields Sheffield when I made the huge mistake of buying a used Jaguar XJR off them.
Saw the car pre prep and was assured it would be like brand new post prep.
On delivery they hadn't even cleaned the ash tray out which was covered in cigar ash,the seats which I had been assured would be re Conallised weren't ,the wing mirror was defective and the centre console lid had a large sweat patch on it.
The rear tyres were barely legal and despite the fact that they knew my first run that week was to East Germany insisted I paid half to replace 2 tyres.
After 3 attempts at rectification the rep who sold it to me rang me from his new JLR position in Bradford who sorted everything out under warranty in 1 trip.
I kept it for six months and lost my pants when I traded it for an E320 cdi.
As you can imagine I won't be going back there any time soon. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
