United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Luxury Fuji White
Luxury packs

Hi all, can anyone help, I,am currently going through the procedure of buying a rrs 2011 with luxury pack. Since looking I have noticed that if you buy a 2012 model the luxury pack is no longer available it actually becomes a range rover sport luxury. What is the difference? Thanks

Whether an 11 or a 12 (both have advantages) i think they just made the Luxury a model like the RED. neither do more than add some body trim, grills etc.

My view both times - even when i was tempted to order a red, why spend £1k plus on some bits of grill and leather in places i didnt really need leather!

Personal preference obviously - but in answer to your question, other than minor changes i think its just made from an option to a derivative Mike

Doesn't the luxury add heated steering wheel and ACC, or at least I thought it did when I was looking at mine. Confused

Jona, as said, if you can stretch the budget to a MY12, it'll be worth it Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The luxury pack on mine (12MY) added adaptive cruise, better stereo, heated steering wheel, different wheels, contrast stitching and the extended leather pack. I have a feeling that land rover have deleted the ACC for the 13 MY. 12MY RRS Orkney Grey HSE Lux

On my 13MY it was an option (ACC - which i hate) You might be right on the heated steering wheel, ill check, although i was looking at the leather. (checked yes you do)

Extended leather was pointless in my eyes, the new wheels i dont like are still options - you get the none diamond turned autobio ones

You dont get the design pack (not that i like that either)

GBL is still an option i seem to recall and im not sure about the stereo Mike

my my you are cheerful Rolling with laughter

AAC is possibly the best invention known to man, esp for anyone who does a regular motorway yomp. You just need to know that you can override (but not cancel) it by touching the throttle.

Extended leather is pretty. Real pretty. ============

No 1000 miles after ACC ive never used it since - its awful... absolutely awful, i know you can over-ride it, it cant break, reacts too strongly any way - cant maintain the gaps you want, slows down needlessly (obviously to a safety standard) etc Mike

I'm a big fan of ACC. Love it. Sure, it can be a bit sharp on the brakes but I find that I tend to interact with the system using the throttle to modulate what it's doing. Depending on the gap settings you can actually get it to be reasonably gentle in its application.

What I like about it is that it's like a second pair of eyes just in case you're distracted etc. at a key moment. Knowing that it'll jump on the brakes and both warn you and start the braking phase is reassuring. Also, when you do get on the brakes, the pedal is instantly reactive because the system is already pressuried by the ACC. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I did a scientific study and found a high correlation between people who don't like ACC and those who:

- don't like auto headlights
- don't like auto windscreen wipers
- don't like climate control
- don't like HD TV "because they can't tell the difference"

S'funny, I love ACC and climate but I don't like auto headlights or auto wipers. In fact, I hate auto wipers. They are always either too fast or too slow. Usually too fast. In fact, since we now have auto wipers on both cars, I use rain-ex to treat the windscreen. Love rain-ex.

Haven't yet benefitted from HD TV. My TV will do HD but nothing is broadcast in HD here yet... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I hate auto headlights when they turn off in the fog...with cruise on at 50 obscuring the lights on symbol! Mike
