Not on the OZ software version that is for sure, once you start rolling all destination inputs are greyed out, the only thing that works on the move is the "AGREE" button and the "Start" navigation screen option if a location had been inputted whilst stationary Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

They really do dumb down the system for you guys .......based on LR's assessment of the capabilities of our antipodian members, I'm surprised any of you can work your way around a PC/laptop and navigate to this site

I think the reality is that LR are just being overly cautious to avoid any litigation if someone is concentrating on the screen rather than the road and cause a major incident.. Be interesting to know if the US (litigation central) models have the same limitations.. Stupid really as aftermarket Satnav systems both portable (TomTom, Garmin etc) and built in (Fuji ten etc) do not have the same issues, and you can get the "Safety Camera" options on aftermarket devices as well
Been to lazy to even set it up , i will try and spare some time this week to set it up and advise Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

For LR to add this in for the Oz market surely it has to be a type approval or legislative requirement for that market? |

Zilch, I have a 11my and whilst I cannot input new destinations, I can go to previous destinations and favourites and home and use those. Do you have that functionality? I also note my wifes Honda Odyysey and parents Jag has similar Nanny State restrictions. In fact when I had a Navman it wouldn't let me input an address once the car was moving, so not unusual. Pretty Stupid tho - did they not think about the fact a passenger might want to input something into the Nav on the move? 2011 TDV6 Luxury - Baltic Blue, Ebony with Contrast Stitch, RSE, Stormers, Towpack. |

Its not a nanny state law as my Conformidore Sportwagon allows me to input destinations on the move! |
