You won't get any messages or warning lights on a pre '07MY ie. (EU 111 engine), and I have never heard of blanking the EGR valves causing turbo problems on these engines. |

I think it is DIY able, if you buy the kit from Pete Bell at BAS (Bell Auto's ),instructions are provided. It is a case of removing the side pipes that run from the top of the valves to the inlet plenum ( 1 pipe each side) and fitting blanking plates (2 each side) the top blanks have a couple of 'o' rings on them also, Then you should also remove the butterfly in the inlet plenum. About an hours work max I reckon. (changing one EGR valve took me 3 1/2 hrs |

Just the one kit (4 blanks) will do it. For that price though I would definately buy from BAS (site sponsor on Disco3.co.uk and on here also), rather than an unknown supplier. Removal of the butterfly spindle is the bit you really need proper instructions for. |
