Nobilo and Villa Maria?

Montana Sauvignon is also fantastic for the price.

I know it sounds like I'm being a Sheep but I think Cloudy Bay Sauv Blanc is heavenly!

I've got 3 at the moment, each different vintages.

Yes - Nobilo and Villa Maria. I too love Cloudy Bay but it's a little more expensive, the other 2 are just everyday drinking stuff. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I hope the pair of you frilly-cuffed ponces realise that white wine is a girl's drink. What's wrong with red? Or Guinness?

Hang on, I said I wasn't here to insult people. That didn't last long did it? You people really are the bad influence Mrs S reckons you are!! Nice! Laughing

Thank you Oz Clarke!

Here's a useless bit of trivia...

Wines taste and smell of all sorts of wierd and wonderful things from gooseberries to petrol to liquorice to, well you get my drift.

Have you ever noticed that they never smell of the very thing they're made of..............Grapes!

If it smells of grapes, it's grape juice Wink You're right though... although I'm not a particular fine of white wine, I do like my reds. Had a nice Chilean Merlot over the weekend... not sure of the producer.

I like the wine - it makes me feel fine

BUT - I like the vino - it makes me feel Oh ...soooo... Supreeeemo Wink

AMARONE = Lovely Red & quite heavy almost like Port

Described by one merchant :-

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC

A gorgeously rich, deep red wine you need to sit down with!

We would not normally recommend drinking alcohol without eating, but this can be a good "meditation" wine for drinking alone.

BUT beware............... don't drink too much - look what happens to you Exclamation
