Bloody hell MW - how much more of this crap are you having to endure. I'd be on the blower (actually Mrs Bradders would be Laughing ) and the dealer principal would be in tears.

Seriously their attitude is disgusting and LR need to sort this out. Have you tried threatening with the local newspapers ?? FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Havn't you called land rover assist? Get them to recover the vehicle and replace it for like for like, no i'll rephase that, another sport one that actually works, and phone the dealer in the morning and tell them you do not want it back and when they have given you 35k for it they can have their loan car back. just speak to the dealer principle not the monkeys and fill him in on whats gone wrong so far. Banging Head And just point out to him how much money you have spent on their brand over the years. Good luck Thumbs Up

I am dealing with dealer principal and he knows how much I have spent but I think the change of dealer owner is more of a priority for him Sad

I have called assist in the past but don't want to go down that road now - I no longer want this car Evil or Very Mad

They took the loan car that broke down and brought mine back temporarily while they find me a replacement but this is looking suspect now Banging Head Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Time to call JLR head office and make some noises too. Think you're being a little too soft on them IMHO Sad ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I have tried to resolve this amicably and I was enjoying the loan car a bit too much but its gone and the gloves are off Evil or Very Mad

Looking on LR approved used it would cost me £38K to replace mine with similar and they have offered £32K Rolling Eyes

I am worried though if I contact LRCS and they let me down I will be unable to buy another LR and will then have to sacrifice my buy british principles Big Cry Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Your principles don't mean a thing when you get treat like this MW, don't be afraid to contact LRCS thats what they are there for, when i bought my new sport back in march LRCS sent me a questionaire to fill in, it went into great detail of my buying experience from start to finish, and then went through everything about the car, and what would i change if anything, it was about a 20 page assesment if not more and was very thorough with multiple answers, so someone must be listening.

Ive got to agree with the boys MW - the way you are being treated is a disgrace and someone at LRCS needs to know and asap.

Of course it's great to buy British but not at the cost of being treated like this IMO. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Rang LRCS who tell me to call out Assistance to look at it - I did not realise they do body repairs too Rolling Eyes

They are very sorry for my inconvenience and if I want a new vehicle they will offer a contribution - I need £25k to change for another Censored sport - how do u rate my chances Evil or Very Mad

Someone i knew had problems with a VW R32 - they took it away for a year and eventually he took them to court and they settled the day before case to be heard - £45k to cover cost of car, solicitors and stress - never happen with my luck though Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Just a thought have you got any form of legal expense cover on your home insurance policy?
If you have just a mention of this to cover any legal costs you may incur might elicit a better response from your dealer. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Well the LRA guy has changed the brake switch again - showed me the computer results and it did show this being the problem with all the warnings displayed logged with date, time and mileage for Friday and Sunday but would it do it today when I took him for a run to show him Banging Head

He thinks the one fitted 5 weeks ago was also faulty or not calibrated after fitting and although the dealer said they would check the calibration during the service he thinks they probably forgot after they dropped the car Rolling Eyes

He jokingly said theres your problem and showed me the Ford badge on the faulty switch Rolling with laughter

Two runs since he did the deed without a hiccup so far Thumbs Up

I said to him pity you didn't do the service or sort the bodywork after them Laughing

He works for the aa who are providing LRA now and in his opinion reliability is improving under tata control due to more investment and they are very interested in feedback on any work LRA do to fix issues Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Good that LRA (The AA) got you mobile again without a disco night on your dashboard, but now you've got their ear, I'd still be onto LRCS to get an overall resultion to your issues and that contribution they mention Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Emailed LRCS last night all photos and emails Thumbs Up

Hope to see some results now or it's adios Lr Sad

I can not believe that a cheap plastic switch can be the undoing of a £50k plus luxury car - if this had been sorted first time 18 months ago and the dealer hadn't dropped it things could have been so different Evil or Very Mad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
