Heated seats in Sweden?

I have been looking for a RRS for a while and noticed that many for sale in Sweden douse not have heated seats. Most of them are imported. It is quite essential in Sweden but its quite hard to find i have noticed. I wonder if it is something Else they dont have that could be important to have in Sweden? I also wonder what You think about the tdv8 engine in such matters as consumption and power etc.

I would imagine you'd want the Fuel Burning Heater (FBH) activated as standard too in Sweden to help start on those frozen mornings. Smile

The FBH isn't standard in the UK, although the heater itself is there in the engine bay, you just need to get it activated. Pete at BAS can sort you the bits you need. It can be set on timed or by remote Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I think that the "Nordic" package also includes a heated front screen, which is nice when it is damp outside..

.... and...

My italian imported HSE didn't have heated seats neither... Forgot to check...

A friend bought a TDV8 and I have a TDV6 3.0.... His car had a average fuel usage of 15.6l/100km.. Mine 9.6l/100km... Since I am poor i prefer the 245bhp TDV6... Whistle RRS 2010 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

As I expected it seems to be a nordic ( cold climate package?) on swedish cars as imported ones dosn't have. If this is neceseary is an individual question, thoose without tend to be cheaper though. But does it effect the engine's coldstart performance? Among older models i do prefer the tdv8 couse the V6 (190hk) seams to have a hard-work prepelling the vehicle. Is My impression completely wrong? ( have Only driven the tdv6 and it was quite slow)

( sorry about my poor english, writing on swedish iPad and it changes every Word i write!!!)

if you dont mind the fuel consumption i think all sc's come with the cold climate package, but no fuel burning heater, as not really required on a petrol

I think the TDV8 had cold climate pack (heated front screen, heated front and outer rear seats) as standard and has the FBH as standard too, being a diesel.

Certainly my 57 plate TDV8 has all of this. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Well... Try a TDV6 3.0 with 245bhp and the difference to the 190bhp is HUGE. I have a TDV6 3.0 and tested a TDV8 and I can't say the difference is so big, not counting fuel consumption that tend to be MUCH higher on the TDV8. Laughing

I would have a detailed look when importing from Europe. Most do not have heated seats and so on.

I had no problems last winter. There is an additional heater that starts when the car starts. What is not installed is the TIMED heater, where you can set a timer to heat up the car before using it. My previous car was a Volvo XC70 II and I did not buy the timed heater and had 3 very cold winters without a problem.. RRS 2010 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
