After reading loads of threds I think I've made the call for a 2007/8 tdv8 probably in the dark silver (can't remember the name) and expect for my budget of 20k ish will be able to get one around 80-90k mark. Checking threads the warranty wise warranty for bout 2k for 2 years unlimited miles seams ok but my issue is this. After talking to dealers and head office no one can really clarify the difference between the model years in regard to different spec. It might only be silly things such as fridge. heated front screen, adaptive front lights or auto dimming mirror and folding mirrors but would telly like to know. Can anyone shed sme light on this as searching threads doesn't really help.

Am I also right in thinking that an expensive 106k service I'd not required of the tdv8 as it has chains and not belts hence doesn't need doing or have I mired this

Ps have an experience day book in Hinton in a RRS later this month. Can anyone say if it had been useful or good quality as it was 320 for the day ?

You are correct the TDV8 105k service does not include belts (they are chain driven)

My 57 TDV8 has fridge, auto dimming mirror, heated seats (F & R) heated windscreen & adaptives (all standard TDV8 spec) if that helps RRS gone

My 57 has the standard spec plus front tv with freeview in the sat nav screen plus side steps. Got a warrant direct policy for about the £2k mark that covers mot failures and consequential damage too. Looking at doing the reversing camera and update rear lights. i think a tdv8 2007 has satnav, heated front seats with memory, auto dipping side mirrors, Fridge, voice control and bluetooth phone as spec, extras i have include, side steps, tv, heated rear seats, rear entertainment system, sunroof, not to sure on the adaptive lights, that i also have 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

I went to one yesterday at the LR Experience, East Of England.

Mine was only a half day freebie from LR as i'm having a new RRS in September. I have to say that that it was very, very useful, not only to discover loads of things about the RRS that i didn't know with all aspects of the car but to get discover its capability off road too, really was well worth it

The TDV8 had heated screen (std across the range I think), adaptive lights, auto dimming mirror, folding mirrors, memory driver's seat and auto dipping mirrors when reversing, fridge, heated seats front and rear all as std.

The engine has chain drive for the cams but there is still an auxillary belt change at 105k miles I think. Not sure this is a big issue though compared to the cam belts on the V6. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
