England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Luxury Orkney Grey
Sat/Nav update

Hi All,

Does anybody know what year the sat/nav update was last updated on the RRS and when the next one is due.
I have a 2013 model RRS (bought May 2012) and the sat/nav updated info is less than my previous car which was the 2010 Q7. The dealer said that they would give me a free update but say I have the latest anyway, which I find hard to believe knowing my Q7 was more updated two years ago.

Many Thanks. MY13 Range Rover Sport HSE Luxury

not sure on the new ones as they are hard drive based, but previously satnav disc were release by navteq every year around september time

but navteq maybe not the supplier of satnav data to Audi, so your Q7 so that might be were the issue lies

I'm not that surprised. I also have a MY 13 bought last month.
My home address was in a new development 10 years ago, when the road was given a name, but the RRS satnav still has it as "unnamed road" although it has the postcode ok.

So even the new version seems rather out of date,as you say. Rod

The cost of replacing the discs (mine isn't the HDD version) is why I just use the sat nav capability of my phone now. I have CoPilot installed on my Nexus and it works pretty well - certainly no worse than the OEM kit in the RRS, it keeps itself updated and it includes "safety" cameras too which is nice. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
