WINDSCREEN repair question

I've just performed a pretty good repair on my windscreen using a SUMMIT REPAIR KIT, problem is the finished job has not the 'shine' of the windscreen - in the youtube video, the finish is one that you would not know the repair had be made!! is there something I dont know?!? Andrew Andrew Kennedy
