Glad it's got a warranty...

Just heard from the LR garage that, although the service is done, the "oil leak" I reported at the rear is coming from the rear dynamic anti roll bar thingy which needs replacing. The pause when starting means a new starter motor is required too.

The anti roll bar alone is £1800 apparently! Gulp!! Didn't ask what the starter would be as I was too busy being grateful that it's all covered by the warranty. Thumbs Up

So, I think that's just reinforced my decision to renew the LR approved warranty in a couple of month's time... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

That's sort of what I said!

The chap on the phone said "don't worry, you're ok, it's covered by the warranty!!" Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

@One-Life: The warranty is LR's Approved Warranty

@peanutbob: 3rd rear ARB?? Yikes!!

Turns out that the ARB is c.£1200-1300 fitted and the starter motor is £400-500 fitted. They want the car for two days so it's booked in for a couple of weeks from now - the first time they have a courtesy car available.

The service was £580 (for a B service at 60k miles). Glad I'll generally only need one service a year at that rate. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Well, 5000 miles since the last ARB fitted. Two of them were replaced within 600 miles so the dealer thought there may have been a faulty batch. Well, here's hoping...... I haven't got a fingers crossed emoticon...could do with one though Laughing Laughing
