Hi Folks,
I have now had my motor for one year (2010 3.6 TDV8 HSE) and really pleased with it . Now due for it's service and notice that the windscreen wiper arms are showing signs of corrosion/paint flaking off and one wheel also showing signs of corrosion. What's the chances that these items will be replaced or repaired under warranty

Anybody had similar problem

Hi, I have the same car and it went in for it's 2nd service this morning. I also pointed out the rusting wipers and a slightly cracked/worn drivers seat cushion so I will let you know if they have been replaced when I collect it tomorrow.

Tonyrec, hope you get you problems resolved and Steuart 64 I agree corrosion is not fair wear, hopefully it will be covered by the warranty but from reading other posts it would seem that the dealer (Stratsone) tries to get out of anything. I must say that when I bought the car from Stratstone Perth they were excellent, so here's hoping their aftersales/service is just as good. Not due in for service until the 19th so will keep you informed

Hi, quick update.
Service all done, wiper arms replaced (due to corrosion) along with the drivers seat cushion cover (small cm square on the centre of the seat cushion with little cracks in the leather) all under warranty.

Service completed, Wiper arms to be replaced under warranty, photos of wheels sent to landrover for decision, Body shop said the corrosion maybe caused by stone chips . I asked if it was stone chips then how come there was no damage to the surface and it was all under the surface/laquer. What as surprise when they could not answer, so now waiting on Landrover response

Sorry for not replying quicker but working offshore (Saudi) and company email system attacked by virus so totally isolated. Anyway the bad news waited for one month with no answer regarding the warranty claim even though I called them twice for info.
The good news, I sent an email to the dealer principal(Mike Pugh) asking what was going on with my warranty claim and if it was normal for Landrover to take so long to reply. Two hours later my wife received an phone call from Strastone to say that the wheels will be replaced under warranty and date agreed. . This is the second time I have dealt with Mike Pugh and cannot praise him enough. If you check on the Baby landrover site several people are of the same opinion. I agree Strastone deserve all the bad publicity/comments they get but some staff take an interest in their customers as well as their Company .
