Mate has asked me to fit a set of 2010 light to his 2006 HSE, he's got the lights but they are OEM light so need the resistors fitted to allow them to function correctly.

I know the resistor units i need but what I'm unsure of is where on the light i should connect them? Anyone done it before..... pic would be ideal

So if I buy the the 2010 LED lights without the resistor is it just the indicator lamp on the instrument cluster that flashes at double speed or the rear lights themselves ?

I'm thinking do I need to bother with the resistor as I know sod all about electrics
