remap question

I am due to collect my 2007 tdv8 in about a week and the seller has recommended a local company to remap the car if rqd. Now for the stupid question........there are two or three companies recommended by other members in this forum....wait for it.......is a remap usually done with the car at the tuning company or are the units made en mass and posted out? in other words do i need to drive to york for eg for BAS to do a remap?

Just off the blower to these guys - sounds a good plan considering the discount, MORE gains are possible but as suggested this may put more strain on the internals and such - i.e. other remaps could provide more power but introduce potential issues... always a downside, this option seems well considered. One to add to the list of to-do stuff...

alright folks,

just looking for some advice, i am looking to remap my 2.7tdv6, but wondering whats best, dont get any smoke out the back at the minute but i have read that some rempas can let the black smoke come out the back end when put the foot down.

Any help would be great.

Had a 2.7 remap from bas no smoke and much better to drive
