Heard about another two cases.. guy near me had his house burgled for the keys to his RS4, and now he has disposed of his 700 mile brand spanking RS4 at a £1500 loss!

Another guy, had a sawn off double barrell shotgun pointed at his face for him to get out and hand his keys over..

Hmm.. reckon badging it as a 2.0 FSI will make any difference?
Have changed my order to have a tracker Echo installed, that way i can leave my keys downstairs on the table so if anyone breaks in they will scarper with the keys and not wake me up! and tracker will still know..
£900 though, ouch..

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I saw something recently on TG (so it was in the last fortnight!) where they showed some sort of hidden key thing that only the driver knows about and should somebody sus it out then they have to get it EXACTLY in the right position (also only known to the owner) for the car to start.
I would also NOT put your private plate on it Kam. It is too recognisable and easily traced, also if the wagon gets stolen then your plate is also gone........ you can always keep it on retention until the craze for stealing them has passed and they (or the look alikes) are as common as Minis before you put it on. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

They are soooooooooooooo common SuperT, but justifiably so. Just hope that RRS's don't get to be so popular but looks like they are heading that way, especially the ones with the silvery grille, intakes and black badges on the back, common as muck they are. Hmm.. bloody hell didn't think of that.. Have been told before that telling your insurance company about any cherished/private plate is a must, and then its also insured in a total claim/theft claim etc, you would get paperwork back off the DVLA.. im getting the tracker echo for this reason.. my brother in law doesn't seem to think its worth the extra over the horizon (as i HAVE to have the horizon being 24 and trying to insure a 420bhp monster) but to protect my number plate i think it would be.. after going through all this Censored with the pimp mobile.. i would literally rip someones head off if the plate was taken away from me!

Kam I dread to think what your insurance premium must be like, even after all the conditions have been complied with.
You are under 25, have 400+hp car, the model has reputation for being stolen, you live in a city (ok leafy suburbs), boy the brokers must rub their hands with glee when they see you applying for insurance! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well..
Im with direct line. I have 7 years NCD, have done my IAM live in a (apparently) low risk area, have family members with policies with direct line and get 2nd policy discount for being on my dads direct line policy as well.

My RRS cost about £685 o insure with protected NCD and all the usual bits and bobs.

When it came to renewal time in Feb, i spoke to direct line and asked them, basically i will only renew if you'll insure me on the RS4 in June, first they said no way due to the age criteria, but as ill be 25 half way through the time left on the policy, they had a word with the underwriters and agreed on a price hike of 500 odd quid over my RRS policy ( plus as there is only going to be 8 months left on the policy i will have to pay about £350 for the remainder of the year as i usually pay up for the year o the spot during renewal.

Is not bad considering the cars performance, but they insist on tracker horizon at the minimum.
An RS6+ was only £1450 to be insured on in comparison, which has 480bhp.. but they won't touch me on an M5 !!? wtf is the difference?
