United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Front Lower Arms due t knowcking noise.

Hi All

As you can see I am new to this forum. I have a 2006 RRS 2.7 HSE for just over a year now done total 67,000 miles. Few problems but most was covered under the extended warrenty, which expired in Feb.

Recently the rear tyre had a nail, after taking it for a repair they noticed that the inside of the tyre is worn badly. Suggested needing wheel alignment. After taking it to 2 places they both said due to a knocking noise at the front when breaking I would need to have the lower wheel arms replaced. Dealer wants £600 for this and local man (known for 20 years) is charging approx £400.00

Has any one come across this before. The car is now booked in to have the work done.

Also Just yesterday a friend driving behind me said there was a lot of black smoke coming out. This is only when I put my foot down. Anyone know of this problems or is it normal. I am going to put in some Wynn Clean Burn Diesel Smoke Treatment unless anyone can recommend anything else.

Appreciate spending the time reading this.

Paul
