Were they any good?

I am looking now for a set, hopping to get them cheaper in the summer than waiting untill December.

My car is an RRS 2009, 3.6 diesel TDV8 with 20" alloys. As I read through this forum best for winter are the 19" alloys.

What do you think?

The 19's will give you more sidewall for hitting winter potholes, but the most important thing is what rubber you put on them.

I'm a great fan of Nokians, but they are hard to come by in the UK. I had them fitted to my old XC90 and I was never stuck no matter what the weater conditions.

Yeap.....that will work Toni.

I used to have Nokian WRG2 tyres which I kept on all year round. Not cheap, but well worth the money in the ice and snow, and also when the temperature falls below +6C.

I know that some people use them on their FL2's but haven't heard of anyone using them on a RRS?
