Doors would not oPen

Hi all,
After having washed my RRS I left it alone for 2-weeks at the car park. Came back today to pick it up for a nice drive down to the city, but the doors would not open. No reaction from pressing the key buttons, no reaction to jut pulling te door handle, no reaction to pressing the lock button on the door handle.

Never had Ny problems wih the battery.

The most annoying thing however, is that the dlr is not operating today, and the cr park is good 15 min walking distance. Tried getting a taxi, but the bastard wanted £20 for it. What a bastard. On the way home now to get anothe key and another trip to the car park.

Oh and I tried opening the door with he mechanical key and broke that too, luckily the key came out and did not break inside the lock.
Any ideas what's going on? Vadim A.

door should open from the physical key , u will get a warning from the car to say the key battery is running low a while before it runs out so providing your using the same key theres a chance that its the battery in the car thats gone dead rather than the key.

If so u need to manually open the door to pop the bonnet, alternatively removed the under tray if you have one and get to the bonnet pop from under the car.

Its a wried and wonderful vehicle we own mate Laughing Laughing

For some reason I could not open the door with the mechanical key. It turned half way and then broke off the handle. The key is in one piece still. It is no longer attached to the original key container however. Just called LR assistance. Some one is cOming up In a couple of hours. Vadim A.

LR asssitance came out! Tested the battery which was completely flat. Changed it for a new one. All seems fine. I'm concerned what caused the drainage though. Will see in the future
, hopefully this doesn't happen again. Vadim A.

Faulty alternator Idea

I hope for the best, otherwise another trip to LPR.

If in case the problem is faulty alternator, how soon should I except to have a flat battery again? Vadim A.
