GPS screen - movement bypass...finally!

I am getting a front monitor bypass modification fitted tomorrow so that will I able to use the GPS etc on the move. There seems a little confusion about it allowing the DVD to also work in a similar fashion. (Yes, I know that’s illegal!) I am just hoping that the mod doesn’t have a secondary effect on any other functions. Guess I’ll soon know.

Has anybody else had the mod done and any cautionary tales?

I’m hoping to get a few photos of work in progress.

The guys turned up on time to carry out the work, which turned out to be with aid of a Nav Tech interface for a Range Rover…….unfortunately, with the Range Rover fitting instructions which were not relevant to the Sport.

I have stayed on the side of caution and suggested, as they had not fitted a unit before, it would be better to wait and make sure that the interface worked on the RRS and that they should get the relevant wiring/fitting instructions.

Sorry about the false alarm, but I will keep trying to get a “fix” installed. If anybody else succeeds, please post details.
