England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Luxury Orkney Grey
rrsport lux (newbie to the forum)

Hi all,

Just had my new rrsport lux delivered 10 days ago, previously had a Q7, must say so far the rrsport is much better all round, apart from the sat/nav, much bigger and clearer on the Q7. Having said all that I have a slight problem with the delivery of the rrsport lux and hoping someone can give me some advice please.
I ordered the vehicle on the 13/04/12 after studying the April 2012 brochure given to me by the dealer and also the land rover website for information. After receiving the vehicle I had noticed that the Adaptive cruise control was missing, I immediately told the sales manager and he said the vehicle is a 2013 model and the Adaptive cruise control has been deleted from that model, he went on to say that I shouldn't have been given this brochure although the new one at the time haven't been out, also the web site change to the new model after I ordered. Can anyone please tell me where I stand on this and what are my options if any?

cannonballrod.

Welcome cannonballrod Smile

If you were led to believe it was included and were not told anything by the dealer to the contrary that ACC had been delted from MY2013 cars, then I'd say you have a case for either:
a) getting it rectified by the dealer (I'm sure it is something the could retro fit) or;
b) seaking suitable compensation either in the form of hard cash, or maybe some other goodies, mats, tow bar, side steps, mud flaps etc.

I certainly wouldn't just accept it. When I got my new MY12 car LPR went out of their way to tell me all the changes between MY11 and MY12, admittedly 99% of them were additions, but it was still explained to me very clearly. Your dealer should have done the same, expecially as there were things being taken away.

Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction, let us know Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Hi Beancounter/Sag,

Many thanks for your comments. The ACC unfortunately can't be retro fitted, but will pursue with matter today with the sales manager.

I think in MY12 it was an option on the SE and HSE (I didn't spec it on mine as wasn't that impressed with it in other cars), but standard on the Lux and A/B.
I now assume its only standard on the A/B Confused

My guess is theyll have a "spec can change clause" somewhere

The spec in the brochure wasn't correct, but you based your order on it and the website, it would have been nice to get a my2013 spec sheet though prior to getting the car

They've given me my first service for free, that's not too bad considering it's worth around £400.

Agree - good result, especially bearing in mind the ACC drives me mad to the extent that I have stopped using it altogether. In the last 2 weeks Ive done Leeds to St Andrews and back, and London twice with no cruise Big Cry FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
