Retro-fitting Bluetooth module

Hi All, this is my 1st post.

MY06 doesn't have Bluetooth conectivity, is it posible to install a bluetooth module only without the associated steering wheel controls to allow handsfree communication? if so where is the factory fitted unit normally located? The audio system is harmon kardon.

Many thanks for all help.

Shingo Confused

Hi Shingo,

You need to install
Mic (if you dont already have some form of voice control)
Steering wheel buttons for Phone
Blutoooth Module (use the D4 Blutooth module)
MOST Cable
Power Supply
Then you need it enabling (which I hope soon to be able to offer for RRS.) Thumbs Up

I've retro fitted a fair few to D3's Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Many thanks for the info. Sounds like I need to install the whole
kit to enable it to work, was hoping it was going to be simple but sounds
complicated. Can the phone buttons be installed in the slots
provided on the radio unit, above the phone power button? Question

Phone buttons are on the steering wheel. You need to change the buttons for the ones th the red/green buttons on. Simple enough to do tbh. I've fitted a fair few of these now. Bodsys Brake Bible
