I pay £80 a corner for 22"s - all dipped and stripped then scratches filled and re-coated |

I'd be reluctant to have alloy wheels dipped and stripped, this can weaken them Maybe one of the reasons that some 22" wheels are failing if they have had a refurb, there is no reason why you can't just give them a quick tidy up and recoat without stripping providing they have been powder coated beforehand and not wet painted. Some people get them shot blasted to strip them, again not ideal as it leaves the face all pitted and then requires a lot more prep work before coating. I like the idea of this process http://carbonstyles.com/ |

Andy- it was not meant literately, just meant they get all previous bit of paint off - they do get shot blasted |

Like most things powdercoating is ok as long as the company is good, you can get lots of problems if they bake them too long or at too high a temperature. Lots of people have had there wheels done and had no problems, It's definitely better to try and get recommendations from people as to which company to use.

Thanks guys.... On average, I'm looking at £100 per wheel extra which just isnt worth it on top of what i'd be paying initially anyway |

In your search don't forget to add on money for removing, re-fitting and balancing of the tyres. Some companies around my area don't include that in there price, then there's the trouble of going to get the tyres put on and they scratch or score your newly refurbed alloys |
