Great call - I bought my RRS because we had a new baby! Really happy, great riding and safe position. Great looks and comfort, great driving ability in terms of power and comfort and lower than expected servicing costs at £400/year.

Only downside os fuel cost.

Enjoy

Nice one Sherlock. I really like that the window sills are low/seats are high so the kids can see or easily. Fuel wise it looks like it will be better the my Subaru liberty spec b 3.0 wagon but it is all about how you drive it Smile

awd I did check out the BAS map you mentioned in the other post. Looks good. I'll need to do something a my wife is use to a 2.0 turbo andbut the weight and take off difference is going to annoy her a bit. I would love a TDV8 not many around and always going for a premium.

So the orignal car I was going to go see seems to be availible after all. Guy contacted me appologising. Test driving it tonight. Interesting thing is hes dropped the price $6k since.

Also drove the Disco 3 which my wifre really liked, particularly the space and 7 seats. Eeek.. but i think its fugly. Sad

The RRS is going to have to impress to beat the DISCO "practicality" I think. I guess it comes down to is the space enough in the RRS?

Interestingly I dont see so many reliability comments on the DISCO 3 compared to the RRS.
Anyone car to comment on that? essentially the guts of the car is the same.

desicions desicions....

Hey guys, I've been off this site for a bit because basically I decided against a RRS, not a decision of my own accord, but my lovely wife got wind of the reliability concerns from some friends and after that and some web searches she then saw an RRS broken down and being pushed through a set of lights near our house and she was like "Nup" I dont want that happenign to me with a 15mnth old and new born. Who can blame her hey....lol....but I must admit its the first one I'ev ever seen broken down.
Youve seen a second one now Big Cry

Discos are equally reliable as the RRS Whistle

The main difference between the two being RRS's have the dynamic roll bar which is superb and transforms the handling, but equally expensive to change when it wears out. Mr. Green RRS gone
