Rear parking sensors

Got the car back today after having new alternator fitted, I asked the garage to also look at the rear parking sensors as they do not operate. They say no faults come up and the wiring behind the bumper seems fine. They have suggested that the bumper has been taken off at sometime and the sensors now need to be "reprogrammed" by a main dealer. I have done a search here but cannot find an answer, any ideas what I need to do.

Taking the bumper off shouldn't lose the coding. That should only be required if it never had parking sensors and someone fitted them.

Either way it will need plugging in to see where the fault lies.... Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

does this mean a visit to a main dealer as the garage put their equipment on [dont know exactly what it was] and there was no fault

Yes probably. If your garage are saying they are correctly connected and no faults are showing then there is obviously more to it. I don't think they made the rrs without parking sensors so will be surprised if they haven't been coded. Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY
