Faultmate Updates for RRSPORT - Your Views please

Hi All,
EDIT Aug12- PLEASE SEE HERE FOR PICS AND MORE INFO
http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic27997.html?highlight=

Bodsy here, mostly from D3 site where I am also a site sponsor.

I currently offer owners of Disco3's the opportunity to update the following on their cars (depending on year and spec). I'm here to do a bit of Market Research into whether it is worth updating my Faultmate and getting a RRS multi-vehicle licence in addition to the D3 licence I already have.

So I'll list below some of the popular D3 options and have some questiosn thrown in there as well if you don't mind throwing in your views/info that woiuld be great.

But generally the most popular updates are:-

Blutooth updates (to allow Contacts to be shown on the radio (maybe shows on the touchscreen on your RRS's))
Also allows iPhones and the like to connect without having to be re-paired each time (using 2121 code)

Three Flash Indicators - Why LR/RR didnt have these I don't know. Generally they were enabled on MY07 for D3, I'd like to know what year they started on RRS (I suspect the same year?)

Clock on the Dash/lights on Indicators - Again, silly place to have a clock on a radio screen you can't see clearly. This update allows you to see the clock on the dash display in front of you. It also puts a light on to show when your lights are switched on.

SatNav On The Move - This update is the longest of all and will take about 1-1/2 hours to do, but it's one of the most useful updates. It allows you to change the destination of the satnav, without you having to stop. Came on with MY07 D3, so I'm assuming same for the RRS

4x4 info Screen/Off Road Nav mode - Do ALL RRS have this already enabled?

Service Light Reset
Enable Tow Electrics
FBH Lockout reset and purge
Enable Corner Lights
Xenon upgrade enable (stops them flickering if you just swap from OEM Halogen lights to OEM Xenon lights)
Adaptive Gearbox Reset/reflash

A few other bits and bobs that can be updated, but these are generally the most popular.

So, I guess I'd like to know how many of you would be interested and where abouts you're located (roughly)

from there (and answers to questions above I hope) I can then decide if there's enough interest to make the additional investment and help you guys further.

I've seperated into general areas to guage your interest and geography, but without having the 12 different recognised regions.

North - North of Wigan, Oldham, Barnsley Across to Grimsby
Mid - South of North Wink down to roughly a line horizontal at the Top of the M25
South - South of roughly a line horizontal at the Top of the M25

This isn't a sign-up for commitment at this stage, but is just to guage your interest if you would like to have some of the above updates.

Any questions, please just ask Thumbs Up

If some people experience juddering or first gear 'knock' then this reset will tell the car to forget any adaptive changes it had in it's memory which will often (but not always) help to fix this.

The re-flash goes a stage further and would check to see if there is a later version of software to be used and re-program the relevant ECU. Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheers awdman

MY07 is the year they changed, so I would expect 05/55 and 06/56 plate RRS not to have Clock on the Dash or three flash or SNOTM.
I would expect your 2007 (same as mine) to have them (as the D3 does also from then) The TDV8 would have been HSE anyway ISTR so would have the 4x4 info screen also. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Bluetooth update is also valid for D3 and RRS alike (I usually swap them out TBH and re-program them when I get home) Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
