United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Tangiers Orange
When did the 4.4 V8 switch from BMW -> Jaguar?

As above, really - looking at buying a 55-reg RR Sport (G4 Challenge Vehicle), how can I tell if this was fitted with the BMW or later Jaguar 4.4 V8 engine?

Oooorrr....have I got the wrong end of the stick completely and these were always fitted with the Jaguar lump??

Cheers! - Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE G4 Challenge vehicle (FOR SALE)

hi, not sure about the sport but on the vogue they fitted the bmw m62 engine up to 05/06 and then on the face lift they went on to the jag engine so it would be around late 06/07 it was at this point that the interior changed as well, the center consul to accommodating the jag gearbox

OK, thanks guys! Damn, Jag engines had the softer valve seats = less suitable for an LPG conversion. Still, can be done, will just cost a bit more! - Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE G4 Challenge vehicle (FOR SALE)
