United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Since L/R have done away with brembo brakes on the diesels, red calipers don't look as good on the new sports because of the shape of the caliper, its not a flat surface anymore like on the brembo's Whistle

How easy is it to sort red calipers? I get my new car next week and think it would benefit from red calipers.....

Just buy some caliper paint from Halfrauds

Dead dead dead easy.

Wire brush them
Then de-grease the calipers with wipes (Halfrauds)
Paint goes on like a dream (I just used a 1/4 inch brush) I did 2 coats
Brembo decals can be purchased from fleabay

Total cost £50 I think, inc brush, thinners, paint and decals...

That is a pretty TDV8.

I am starting to look for one but I am a little confused by what makes one look good like yours, some look quite bland. Are there certain options on the body to go for? I assume that is an HSE? So many wheel varients too, those are nice, some wheels I really don't like.

Would you have any tips to share on my search. On the budget I was thinking 25-35k.

Cheers

Dave DM

They all look the same (exterior) between trim specs Dave (unless you go for an HST or Overfinch etc)

Required mods to make your RRS look "pretty" Laughing

Alloys 20" minimum Whistle
Colour coordinated Door handles
Colour coordinated lower door sills and bumper trims
Supercharged Grills and vents (also colour coordinated)
Side steps RRS gone

Yeah I have been looking at online adverts and I seem to be drawn to the ones with the larger wheels. Sometimes I see an HST example that I don't like and then other times examples I do like. Hence the confusion! Yeah "pretty" wasn't the best choice of word Laughing

For example, I quite like this;

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3808489.htm

But I don't like this;

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3599149.htm

I like this HSE;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-RANGE-ROVER...6750258067

I like this too:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200727111485?ssP...1423.l2648

Am I just picking big wheels or have I gone for the options you describe?

Thanks

Dave DM

The price of the last one isn't that far off the 2009 facelift model with the much better interior, so if you can stretch your budget or keep searching you may well find one Thumbs Up

Very nice indeed, do the exhaust tips just fit on the standard exhaust? DM

2, New hand brake motor cable discs and pads at rear
3, Full service
4, New set of 22" supersport alloys
5, HST grill
6, Calipers painted and laquered and brembo decals added
