Or you could just use the fob whilst in the house, turn it on, wait, turn it off, go to car and start up a warm car.

Or keep the fob in a jacket pocket while you're out and about - after all, this is really a winter use device so you're likely to have a coat/jacket with you anyway. That way your trouser pocket doesn't get overloaded with keys.

Or am I thinking too sensibly here?  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

there is a round peg.... but it's £150 more

I'm with RRSTDV8 though... I'd not have it on my key fob, I'd probably keep it on the key rack next to the garage door remote  RRS gone
