Hi All,
I have fault on my RR SPORT 2006 HSE 2.7 TDV6,
When i first got the car the mirrors would dip automatically when reverse gear was selected, after a few weeks they stopped working at that time i just put it down to the faulty battery as starting was sometimes poor and the battery went flat afew times. However new battery fitted and still the mirrors dont work in reverse mode, They do all work ok manually and the reverse dipping mirror function is switched on in the dash.
I think may be wire fault etc , Has anyone had this fault and what was the fix?
The question is where is the control unit, how is it controlled? Better still has anyone got wiring digrams etc they can mail me.
P.S memory seats all work ok and i have tried spare keys.

Go into the set up screen in the dash via the left hand stalk and reset the mirror function 2012 HSE SDV6 FUJI WHITE

I have gone in to the dash info screen and tried to switch the function off then back on, this was the first thing i tried but the still dont work, However i did not mention that for no reason at all they work once only a cople of weeks ago, This is why i think i might have a wiring fault.

Have you tried following the instructions in the manual for the memory function?
Goes something like:
Press memory button on seat, pick a number(1,2 or 3) wait for a sound.
Put car into reverse and then set the mirrors to required positions then press and hold the appropriate memory button.

I've probably missed a step or 6, I've got the memory of a gold fish lol

Yes first thing i tried was to carry out a full reprogramme of memory seat and dip mirror positions, i get all the right info on the dash screen i.e memory seat position 1 stored, then select reverse and ajust mirrors then store, message door mirror dip position stored.
So i think maybe wire fault etc.
I need to know where the control unit is for the reverse dip mirrors is located and any wiring diagrams that are available would be a great help if any one hs them so i can check out the supplys to and from the control unit etc.
