2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
2011 RRS to a 2012 D4

I'm thinking about going from a 2011 3.0 HSE to a 2012 D4, if I do it will primarily be for the extra seats and space, although these will only be needed occasionally.

I haven't driven the D4 yet, but will do in the next couple of weeks. Has anyone done the same and any views about the switch? Anything to look out for?

Cheers

Not as crazy a transision as you'd think. SDV6 D4 has all the refinement and smoothness of a RRS.

If it were me then I would decide if you need the practicality (bikes in boot, kids etc etc) as a D4 if far more practical day-to-day.

Apart from Adaptive Dynamics and the way you sit compared to the dash, I think you'd be very impressed with a D4.

James, is the actual driving position similar, but the position in relation to the dash the difference?

Does anyone have a view on how the residuals compare? Disco 4 2012 3.0 SDV6 HSE,Santorini Black and Ebony, Privacy, Grand Black lacquer, 20" 5 spoke alloys, tow bar

Dash on the D4 feels further away and obviously less streamlined so more utility.... something I didn't like when I had a D4 for a few days... even the old RRS interior involves you more than the Disco... RRS gone

Hahaha! I actually lol'd when I read that!

Does the D4 have a slightly longer wheelbase than the RRS? LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.
