Hey all, i just put on a Thule bike rack from halfords today, i see there are a few peeps on here using them, anybody had any scary moments when its fallen down ?

Got a three bike Thule Euroway G2 here, never had any issues.

It won't fall down as such, the clamp when tightened lifts the rack up, just make sure you tighten it as hard as you can with the wrench supplied to stop it swinging under braking ( never had that problem with mine) you will see the bikes flexing in the mirror, but don't let that worry you! It is a good bit of kit!

Just got a similar Thule three bike rack from Tesco direct of all places, offer price is only £120 plus postage or free postage if they deliver it to your local Tesco to collect, bargain!

Had mine a few years and no problems at all. You just need to be careful of where the pedal is on the first bike (up) so that it doesn't get anywhere near the bumper. I also use a bike lock to lock it to the tow eye above the tow ball, to put the opportunist thief off, and another to lock the bikes to the carrier. Got the locks from Tesco for a few ££'s.

Just picked up a Thule G2 3 bike towar mountable (including the quick release towar) for £210.00 from Tesco Direct, currently have 25% discount) and you can use your Tesco Clubcard points!

Echo all other comments. I go to the Alps every year, using my Thule rack. Used to be on my RS4 which got us their in a super quick fashion. I could easily imagine the rack is good for triple digit speed

use the same bike rack on my RRS and like james also use a security chain to securily attach to the tow bar. Great piece of kit never had a problem either. 2010 Alaska white 3.6TDi v8, heated steering wheel, Ipod connection, Aribica extended leather, Digital TV, voice activation, privacy glass, Dynamic pack
