mr evans is clearly a prick, what next in your front room save the toilet water, another useless manager.

i pay £70 per month for the water that comes of my business roof, then pay fir the water we use, try stopping me use a hose pipe

Think that is bad, we use 1cubic metre a quarter inward, which costs £15, but pay £2k PA for waste water off the roof based on rates! We asked if we could use a water butt to reduce it, and they told us no! Thieving gits!!

We're similar but not as bad,just 2 of us in the office drinking coffee ,flushing the loo and occasionally washing the cars but get charged for the drainage not just for the office but for the large car park  MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

The reason just adding a water butt won't help is because once it's full the water just goes to the drain. So no real difference as far as they're concerned. However, you could disconnect yourself from the surface water drainage system and run the excess to a soakaway in the ground if your have room. Then they can go swing as far as the surface water charge is concerned.

Like ChrisP ,I think they said something sarky, like where do you think the water from your car park goes!!
