Best tyre Budget/ Mid range/ Quality?

Hi all, just got a quote for 22" wheels and tyres as follows: (All 235/35/22)

Dorun and wheels £1,140
Marshall and wheels £1,272
Hankook and wheels £1,392

Are these makes any good, if not any toher suggestions? my thinking is the budget tyres are probably crap, the Marshall might do if you think theyre good and the Hankook would be my prefered option, although maybe for the money I could get a better tyre than Hankook if I go this route???

Any help greatly appreciated, have to order them on Tuesday, so need to make up my mind?

Dorun and wheels £1,140- I've been told to avoid these as they are American, max is 55mph over there, so are rubbish at our higher speeds.
Marshall and wheels £1,272- i had these on my Mercedes for a month before i took them off, totally dangerous in the wet, aqualplaning all the time, but could be how i drove, but still, rubbish.
Hankook and wheels £1,392- I have these on my RRS3.6 now, very very good tyres, very little road noise and in independent tests beat the Michelin hands down. 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I'm with DaveM. I've just spent nearly £800 on 4 tyres. How could you expect to put decent tyres on good quality wheels for £500 more than that?!!! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

See if they will quote you for Toyos, they seem to be the tyre of choice for that size (think that's what overfinch supply theirs with, I would think they would be £1600 with wheels.

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

I'd go with the last 2 posts, Toyo are always good and don't compromise on wheels for a premium car like this. I did with 22" non oem alloys and lower budget tyres (I did not realise when I bought it... ) and I regret not just going for mainstream but really nice alloys and premium tyres. Beware, lots can go wrong with these cars when you don't stick to their set up and it can be very costly!!!! Jaguar XKR Convertible

Christ, is that right?

To Shakepaw, I agree 100% with you on Hankooks, realy dont want crap tyres on the car as it would just seem sinful to be that tight!

Will 22" wheels do any harm to the car? Is tghe set up ok to take them or should it be avoided, sounds a bit chancy?

Wonder how wide my current tyres are then? Will the 22s stick out farther? Might look better for it too!

Oh and are you saying the alloys wouldnt be worth it either as theyr'e replicas? When it comes to spending money I will in the right places, once ive done my research first! That seems like sense to me...

Toyo Proxes all the way.

Buy cheap, buy twice (and maybe die!) Sounds harsh but stopping distances are Censored on cheap tyres, especially with 3 tonne sat on them.

My toyo proxes are on 22" wheels and going good after 20K Thumbs Up
