Yep, I've got a set and they are top drawer. I used to have a set on my wife's MkV Golf GTI, and they went into the door seal, but that didn't cause any issues.

The RRS ones sit in the circular feet that are in the roof channels, so do fit very well. I used to have the flush bars for the Golf (which you have shown in your link) as I just had a single roof box on it (Kamei Corvara duolift), but got the through bars for the RRS for extra space, and so I could take the roof box and three bikes on Thule racks on holiday last summer.

I would alwats go with Prorack bars ahead of anything else. I bought everything from roofbox.co.uk who give great service.

Can't recommend the bars, roofbox, bike racks and company enough! Disco 4 2012 3.0 SDV6 HSE,Santorini Black and Ebony, Privacy, Grand Black lacquer, 20" 5 spoke alloys, tow bar

They look top-notch! Can you fit a third bar further back on the roof than on the picture in the PDF? I will be fitting my rooftent to my RRS and would like 3 bars to evenly spread the weight better of two adults.

There is no reason why you couldn't fit a 3rd set in the rear holes. My only question is will the line of fit be straight. I'd have to have a look at the roof, although if it is a tent you may not need it to be exactly flat. Disco 4 2012 3.0 SDV6 HSE,Santorini Black and Ebony, Privacy, Grand Black lacquer, 20" 5 spoke alloys, tow bar
