Well it is still volatile after millions of years in the rock formation! - I would suggest that its the additives that are the problem so it depends on the provider.

Hope it's only a little strike as 100 galls of diesel wont last line in a sport anyway, so should not be an issue, think of all the farmers etc who have 1000 gal tanks for their tractors etc. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

I put 20l of diesel in a jerry can years ago at the time of the fuel blockades and forgot about it.

one of the issues for long term storage is algae growing in the tank/container. Yiu can get additional additives to keep this down. |

the biofuel part of the diesel can grow algae which could block your filters, it will do that if there is water in the container, , from condensation maybe,
