Easy access suspension mode for wheelchair user
My father drives an smax and has no left hip, so is now a wheelchair user. He is a farmer and wants to go accross the farm so a RRS would be ideal for him.
The question I ask is what is the height from the seat to ground level in lowest mode ? Also is there an easy and quick way to make this even lower without modifying parts ?
Thanks

u can modify them to get them lower still but even in access mode its still pretty high.
Running boards may help slightly, best advice is get into a LR dealer and try one out.

Hi there,
Pretty specialist question there, with some knowledge of disability I'd say you'd be best going to a LR dealer that offers the motability service.
I drive a RRS and my partner drives a Volvo XC90. As the previous post says the RRS is pretty high even in access mode and I can tell you that the XC90 is very low by comparison and it's very good off road.
Specialist advice but moving from an SMax to a RRS or similar is a big step...
A motability dealer would be my advice...
Hope that helps

My mum is in a wheel chair, and to be honest even in access mode its pretty tricky getting her in, once in she loves it If it doesnt scare you it isnt heavy enough
