Spare round here are being nicked all over, a mate of mine had his knocked of his recovery truck parked outside his pitch, a lcal van rental firm has reported 12 missing in the last few week, people want the tyres, it's a quick simple way instead of paying for them Sad

It will be side repeaters next they are easy to get off, and what about wipers ? There is a long list of nice spares going begging on most vehicles ....

Ours stolen this morning whilst the wife was taking my son to Legoland. She was only there for two hours! Now looking at £400 plus for new tyre/winch etc plus a week or two waiting for the bits to arrive whilst she drives around without a spare. £65 additional spend to get a protector seems like a good deal to me now.

If it went whilst at Legoland it may be worth asking if they have cctv if you haven't asked already. Nothing to lose by asking and if they have you have a legal right to see it I believe. Not sure of the details but they might charge you. Good luck what ever you do.

I wouldn't tell them mike unless its at renewel time, otherwise its another excuse for them to charge you £30 for an amendment to your policy Big Cry If you told them at renewel they wouldn't have a clue what you were on about anyway Laughing they would probably charge you more for telling them that your spare wheel is vulnerable Mr. Green
