Poor quality music

I have noticed after the last few months that many RRS owners have complained about the quality of the sound system, i have never understood this because for the past 14 months i have been running a D3 and thought the sound quality was great. However, on Wednesday i picked up my RRS which has exactly the same system as my D3 had but the quality of sound isnt even close. I can only assume this is down to accoustics. The D3 having a very open cabin with no obstructions to stop sound waves and the RRS being just the opposite. I suppose you SC owners will see it differently as you have the premium sound (lucky Censored )

Any thoughts on this chaps. Question !st Edition RRS S/C, Black on Black.

RRS HSE, Java, Alpaca, Bluetooth, Dynamic Pack, SC Grill, Black Badges, tints all round.

I think the std system is better than the std system in my BMW but I have to say despite it being a turd, the sound in the Streetka was excellent!

I find I hear things in songs which I don't pick up normally but also find it a little to tinny and lacking depth of sound. (I ahve altered treble/bass)

Also, iPod on AUX needs vol up to min 25 to be loud enough but sound quality improves as volume rises.

In hindsight, I would have opted for uprated sound system Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Your spot on Supretrotter, it is tinney and does lack depth. The D3 was not like this at all though, you felt like the sound was all around you whereas the RRS feels like the sound is all on the floor. Your right about the IPOD too, i have the new Sony Walkman and it need to at full volume. !st Edition RRS S/C, Black on Black.

Luke, tx, I now am much the wiser. Angel, I will go to my shoe box (one my wife is back) and fiddle with the Hi Fi.

Just a minor semi related point. I see lots of you hancer after PTI (std on HSE D3)??? Don't, it is a bag of bones and will drive U bananas Banging Head . I long for my simple bluetooth Nokia kit that I have in my D2. I'm fed up with it connecting to my phone when i don;t want it to nor after I've locked the car. This is normal functionality according to LR Cust Serv, my response was fire the muppet that decided that!

If I can get the cradle working I might be happier but the BT side is a pain in the butt.

2nd rant of the day over! Crying or Very sad

Yeah, your right. I only got my car Wednesday and me and PTI man had our first argument Thursday morning. Allthough he did keep saying sorry, every time i asked him to do something all he said was sorry. Big Cry !st Edition RRS S/C, Black on Black.

PTI is very erratic (No VA, not erotic!) and very much dependent on your phone. It doesn't like Samsung!

Biggest laugh we've had is when I phoned Mrs ST when I was at work and she was in the house.

I wass talking to her then all of a sudden the line sounded like it went dead.

Turned out the bluetooth decided to kick in and I was probably on the car speakers shouting "Hello...Hello....F Censored g mobiles...Hello.....Aw F Censored k it!" as the neighbours were probably on their drive next to the RRS! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

That is the only bad thing about it. what it needs is a shut down time that you can set 10.15.20..... what ever you want it to be just like what we have with the kit we have in the van. it's a Nokia kit and the one that's in the RRS is a Nokia kit as well don't see why they can't do it to that as well. And plus it should only connect to the car when you start it up RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

My Siemens works brilliantly with BT.

The thing that bugs me is the first time my phone rings away from the car it comes up with 'Bluetooth internal error'.

If I get back in the RRS I have to re-connect with the code! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
