2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

Right started at 10am and just finished at 4pm and I actually enjoyed it and a great day also!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

2 washes and then the clay and to be honest I had to admit I didn't think the clay would bring anything off - boy was I wrong!! And yes I did fold the clay every minute or two. I found the bonnet and the lower doors the worst but the finish was like glass> (BTW is this a twice a year type job or more regular?)

Anyway after the clay another wash and the car looks crap and I was a bit concerned but I carried on. On with the SSR 2.5 in the areas needed most and with most swirling and it did make a good impression but not totally. I suppose a motor buffer would do a better job though.

Then the Poorboys Black hole and thinks started to look a bit better.

It was at this point I suppose I expected the little marks and finite scratches to go invisible but the opposite happened and especially on the bonnet the very small stone chips/marks began to appear and even after the final treatment that are still there - so disappointed here as I thought he Black Hole would fill these rather than take away any previous black polish etc.

I then proceeded with the Ziano polish Z5 and of all the products used today it was by far the best result, an immediate gloss and deep deep colour. The application was simply to apply with a cloth (no rubbing) leave for 20 minutes and buff off.

Then final coat of Z8 and tyre treatment.

All in all very happy with the result but unhappy with the marks on the bonnet coming through.

What do you think guys?

And oh yes for the advice to but the micro fibre drying towels, buffer cloths and polish foam pads, thank you as they worked brilliantly

Final question guys, what can I use to polish the A pillars (The matt black sections?)

Bradford can you let me know how you get on with it please? I also need to do the plastic section under the wiper blades, I think it's where the air vents are below the front screen. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx
