Fina check list before I start detailing my car

Hi guys

I have taken Friday off as a day's holiday ahead of a week in Northumberland next week to polish the car and just wanted to check I have bough a decent set of products, or at least the correct products as I am sure there are opinions on better/worse items, and that the sequence I am going to use them is correct.

So here are the products - to e used left to right.

I plan to wash the car twice with the shampoo and glove sponge I have and then begin the clay bar process using lots of lubricant and folding the bar regularly

I then plan to use the Poorboys SSR 2.5 with the sponge polishers I bought to begin to get rid of heavy areas of swirl but not across the whole car as its in pretty good shape anyway and then complete with Poorboys Black hole, finished off nicely with Ziano Z5 Gloss glaze

so what do you think guys, am I planning the correct process?

You method is spot on, but you might find that the Zaino Z5 doesn't bond very well to the PB BH.
Zaino's a bit picky to be honest, and is probably best over something like bare paint or Zaino All in One.

It won't have any detrimental effect on looks, but you might find that you don't get the longevity usually associated with Zaino Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

When washing the car, remember to use the two bucket method, and a pure lambswool mitt! Current transport : Audi S4 V8 Cabriolet, Suzuki GSXR600 K1

My main worry is about the clay bar and never used one before! TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

A further thought!

After the 2nd wash can I use the residual water as a base to start claying or do I need to dry off totally first and then use a soap/water spray as a lubricant? TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

no need to dry off before clay bar. It will need re-washing after the claybar anyway.
remember to keep checking the clay itself, and re-fold when necessary. The more you do it, you'll get to 'feel' when it's picking stuff up from the surface. Be careful though! Don't apply pressure RRS HSE TDV6 Autobiography
