Has anyone got or used a road angel Gem or a snooper lynx gt?.

If so what's your thoughts on them, not sure which is best to buy.

You've got me looking at these. Could be a decent investment if it saves you the odd few points. Anyone use them regularly? Does it really add value? Jaguar XKR Convertible

Aside from the unavailable Whistle I have gone through a fair few. They all do the job well, albeit a little irritating in some locations, but thats the aim of the game, KEEP you AWARE!

With the number of "Safety Camera Vans" and "Speed Awareness policing activity" scams, apologies, schemes, its almost a must have these days. Are the subscriptions good value, yes and no, yes cheaper than losing your license or getting excessively penalised and no when you consider that the big boys charge in excess of £60 per annum (same as a ticket) plus the cost of the unit, typically for a good one £140+.

I have the Pogo alert, Snooper Sapphire and Talex - all do the job well, except for the latter - the subscription update service is joke - it now resides in my technology box (marked unused). For being discreet - The Pogo every single time.

Also if your lazy (like me) and as to save you getting out your garage opening device: Target LT450 - Remote Garage Door Opener Whistle Whistle Wink L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Road angel gem is available now, few places seem to have them though, I managed to order one which should be delivered today.

It updates all locations constantly , no need to connect it to a pc which means providing you pay the subscription it will always be current, I've had road angels in the past but this appears to be the next level of protection, worth the money if you drive unfamiliar roads occasionally and value a clean license.

Also the gem has a function should you ever get in trouble somewhere with no phone available you can press a button on it and speak to an operator who will connect you to the relevant emergency services.
