I put Oputimum opti seal all over the lower plastic trims and steps.....a months on and it's doing a grand job....
A quick jet blast and they're all gleaming again...
Saves getting too much grit in the bucket..... grit guard or not ..

The steps in particular seem to attract and collect a whole load a  2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

Quite a few cay ars out there guys adve above link to maguiers on cleanyourcar has a review which says the bar itself is very small at only 50g.

Regular is quite aggressive, IMO

make sure you use plenty of water misted on to the area your working on, and make sure it's supple, use 2 pieces one not been used left in some hot water and keep swapping, aswell as folding and folding the piece your using to lock away the particles it's removed

For what it's worth I found a link (on the Bilt Hamber web site) to an AutoExpress 'road test' of various clay bars which rated the Bilt Hamber Regular clay bar in first place (the Soft version was rated in third place).

You should be ok, I only use my BH reg before polishing as I found a slight bit of marring occurred, but BH soft took longer

The marring could have been due to lack of sufficant lube/water

I think it would be handy for npinks to do a proper job on my car, whilst I take pics (from my deck chair), maybe a few minutes video too.
We could then post this up for you to check at regular intervals.
Obviously I wouldn't charge for lending my car for such an important tutorial.

but I just don't have any free time at all, with work and kids, and when I do it rains or she has other plans

I was going to go shooting this morning, then wash the cars even though it was raining, but very little sleep with my 2yr old having chicken pox, then for my son to get it just as she got over them, so I'm up all night this week also by the looks of it
