Changing brake pads on RRS Supercharged 55 plate

Hi, the "check brake pads" warning has just flashed up on my dash, (goes and comes). Any idea of how many miles are left on the pads when this first shows?

I have a great mechanic that I use to service my cars, so I am looking just to order some pads and have him do it.

Before I call him over, does anyone have any experience of using non-oem pads like pagid pads from europarts? Or does it have to be OEM all the way?

Also in replacing the pads on a RRS do you always have to replace the brake pad wear sensors etc?

Any help/experience/advice would be well appreciated Range Rover Sport SVR - Santorini Black

If the light is on then change the pads ASAP, the issue is that the sensor wire is only on one pad out of four as one of the pads may be very near to the metal.

For pads check on the Disco 3 forum, do a search for Big Nick as he had a good deal on pads a few weeks back

Hi thanks for that, I popped to my local RR dealership, who had a quick look at the pads and said they seem quite new, which is good.

Must be a sensor issue then, anyone know if these are difficult to change? And what needs to be reset? Range Rover Sport SVR - Santorini Black

Not sure if this is still on or not, but worth a phone call
