LPG and Engine Management Light

HI Guys, I have RRS 4.2 SC 2005. Had Lpg put on it in Sept last year. The Engine management light has come on and is staying on permanently. When attached to the computer it shows that the mixture is too lean i.e running on LPG insted of petrol.

Taken it back to the Lpg installers several times and this is recified and comes back on about 2 hours later.

I have read several posts re the EGR Valves and they need blanking to sort out the EML? Is this a solution?

Any suggestions would be welcome. The car is running fine, just worried that when it comes to have MOT done it will fail cos of the light.

thanks Dave

EGR valves are on the Diesel models only Thumbs Up

Sounds like your issue is with the O2 sensor in the exhaust? It needs to be told to expect a lower reading (This should be done by the LPG mapper)

They need to sort this not you RRS gone

Yeh I agree. Its been back 3 times now and re mapped. I'm just getting a bit fed up and trying to educate myself so I can get this sorted once and for all.

thanks Dave

Sounds like they are just re-setting the fault code ...

maybe try talking to another LPG conversion garage, they might give you some pointers as to what to ask.

Hello dav1969
Sorry bit off topic, did you get head work done on your engine with the gas conversion?
I looked into getting mine gassed but was advised by many installers that they would only do it if i sign a disclamer, even if a lube system was installed.
