I had an offer on my RRS today which enabled me to make a cash offer on their car so I contacted the sales guy and made him a cash offer for the car. To be honest I didn't expect him to accept it I must admit but I thought he would negotiate with me as I have cash to spend (that is how it works isn't it?) But the sales guy obviously don't like me (don't know why coz I'm quite a likable chap!) turned it down didn't want to negotiate with me said that the screen price is the lowest they can go!

Not being one to take no for an answer I called the sales manager to ask if he knew about my offer? (Come on I've got a buyer for mine and I want to buy this car!!) He was in a meeting at the time and couldn’t speak to me. My number was taken and I was told he would return my call. He never bothered to call me back! I give up what have you got to do to spend the thick end of 40K round here?!!

I sent them an email retracting my offer! I hope it don't sell and it rots in their showroom!

But isn't that how they price your part ex?! He started with a totally ridiculous offer for my car in part ex and then went up 2.5k we negotiated! I didn't go there to p ss him off I just wanted to buy he's car He wanted to play the game! So I in return I offered him an offer about the same under what I wanted to pay for he's car and he just got the hump didn't even try to negotiated with me he just stamped his feel!

To be honest I’m not in car buying mood any more I was excited about getting a new car and he has managed to knock the wind out of my sails now think I’ll stick with what I’ve got for now it’s a lovely car be sad to see it go anyway. I’ll give it some more thought in the summer when he’s is only worth 25K  Cheers Laurence.

But heres where I am with it. It's already six moths old (so only 2.5yrs left on th LR warranty) Only has the old 6speed gear box! Think there has been at least 2 model upgrades since it was built? It is already registered (to Kahn) so I will be the second owner, it's an SE model (still got to look in to what the spec differences is between SE and HSE?) A new HSE 2012 will cost me 6K less............. But I do like it!!

^^^^ Totally agree, but how much will this depreciate as soon as you drive it away My guess £10k + Ouch! when you wake up in the morning and taken your tablets you will see sense
