Im looking to purchase my first Range Rover, and im looking to purchase the sport model. Live Down the road from the Longbridge site and always wanted one and i feel nows the time to leave my long-standing with Lexus and take the jump. Hoping to utilise the forums as much as i did with the lexus club so all help would be kindly appreciated.

I have a budget of up to £23k and im looking for a 2007+ model. Being used to the 4.2 litre's i was looking at purchasing a similar engine size but can anyone advise on how the other sizes compare with speed and performace of the sport?

Also in terms of kit what are the different options that there are, having browsed around ive noticed words like hse, hst, tigers, so just need some clarification.

Also any common faults or things i should look for when buying a rrs apart from the usual damage and finance checks.


Finally any one selling any or can recommend any?

Prepare to be bombarded by the TDV8 boys Hi and welcome If you do a search around the site you will get to find everything you need to know, HSE model is the most common model HST is the top model but you will be lucky to get one on your budget S model is the base spec and SE is inbetween the S and HSE model i don't have the time to tell you what each model has at the moment a search will give you your answers or someone else will be along very soon to advise

4.2 V8 Petrol Supercharged is normally always the best appointed the cheapest like for like and the quickest! But you'll only get 11/12mpg around town and 18mpg on a run!

I have one and love it to pieces. It's a great car with a good specification as standard and quick enough to make you smile every time you press down on the load peddle!!

If economy isn’t an issue, performance and spec is and you don’t want to buy a high mileage diesel then a 4.2 Supercharged is for you my friend!
