2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
Hs anyone taken their CAT of a TDV8 or 6 please?

Hi

I am about to change the exhaust system with a custom build from Pipe Werx and been asked if I want the CAT taking off as it will improve the effect etc but not sure.

I have already had a remap done and this is a little out of my knowledge zone sorry. I am having the CAT back replaced as assumed this will not affect the engine, fuelling etc. plus not sure if illget more diesel soot out of the tail pipes. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Removing the cat from a vehicle that was originally fitted with one will be an automatic MOT failure under the new regs that came into force on 1st Jan 2012; and leaves you in a stange position regarding insurance - technically invalid if you do not declare it and if you declare it, it would not be authorised as it would make your vehicle technically unroadworthy.
